Veil Nebula (Stitched Mosaic)

A stitched mosaic covering the full Veil Nebula complex in Cygnus — a supernova remnant spanning roughly 3° of sky. The complete structure includes the Western Veil (NGC 6960, the “Witch’s Broom”), the Eastern Veil (NGC 6992), and Pickering’s Triangle between them. The whole thing is the expanding shell of a star that exploded around 8,000 years ago. Capturing it in one image requires multiple panels stitched together, but the result shows the full scale of the blast wave interacting with the interstellar medium.
